Bellewstown Racecourse Celebrates 300 Years of Racing

Bellewstown, County Meath – Bellewstown Racecourse is proud to announce the celebration of its 300th anniversary in 2026, marking three centuries of rich racing heritage on the Hill of Crockafotha.
Since its inaugural meeting in 1726, Bellewstown has been a cherished venue for horse racing enthusiasts, renowned for its unique atmosphere, scenic setting, and community spirit. Over the centuries, the racecourse has welcomed generations of racegoers, owners, trainers, and jockeys, all contributing to its enduring legacy.
To commemorate this historic milestone, Bellewstown will host a special programme of anniversary events throughout 2026, honouring its past while looking confidently to the future. The celebrations will include feature races, community festivities, and tributes to the many individuals and families who have shaped the racecourse’s story.
Anniversary Upgrades and New Facilities: As part of the 300th anniversary celebrations, Bellewstown Racecourse is delighted to announce the opening of a state-of-the-art weigh room, providing modern facilities for jockeys and officials. Additionally, the new “1726 Restaurant” will open its doors, offering racegoers a unique dining experience inspired by the racecourse’s heritage.
