Two New Episodes from Equestrian Mum Diaries

Two New Episodes from Equestrian Mum Diaries

There’s a version of motherhood that looks calm, capable, and completely under control. And then there’s the version many of us are actually living.

The one where you’re juggling horses, home, babies, business and everything in between. - It's an overwhelming, yet beautiful chaos.

This week, I’ve share two new episodes from my solo series on the Equitas Podcast - Equestrian Mum Diaries. These are short, honest reflections on the parts of this life that we don’t always say out loud, but that so many of us quietly experience.

Episode 4: The Fear of Being Alone

This episode came from a place I didn’t expect.

As equestrians, we’re used to independence. We’re used to responsibility. We’re comfortable in our own company. But motherhood brought with it a very different kind of weight for me.

In this episode, I talk about the genuine fear I felt being alone with my children - the pressure of full responsibility, the nervous system going into overdrive, and the unexpected need to have people around.

It’s not something we often speak about, but it’s something I now know is far more normal than we realise and I shouldn't have been as hard on myself as I was.

Episode 5: Postpartum, Fitness and Finding Your Way Back

This one was highly requested - and a very personal one for me.

After three children, I’ve experienced three very different postpartum journeys. This episode is an honest reflection on what I’ve learned along the way - particularly this time around.

While I do share some specifics about the habits that helped me feel more like myself again, I want to stress that everybody's journey is different, and this is not about “bouncing back” or chasing timelines.

It’s about:

rebuilding strength slowly
listening to your body
finding consistency in small ways
letting go of comparison
and yes, have goals, but also compassion for yourself

Why This Series Exists

I didn’t create Equestrian Mum Diaries because I have everything figured out.

I created it because I wanted to speak more honestly and a little more in-depth about being an equestrian mum.
It can feel like a lot to carry. And sometimes, just hearing how someone maps their own juggle/struggle, allows space for the “I’ve felt that too” moments, which can make all the difference.
