Equestrian Mum Diaries: A New Solo Podcast Series

Equestrian Mum Diaries: A New Solo Podcast Series

This makes me a little nervous but I’ve just released the first three episodes in a new solo series on the Equitas Podcast - short (only 10mins!), honest conversations about the real overlap of horses, home, babies and business.

As an equestrian coach and mum of three little ones aged four and under, I know first-hand that this life can feel full in every sense of the word. Beautiful, meaningful and deeply rewarding, but also messy, demanding and sometimes incredibly hard to explain to anyone who isn’t living it (so I’m going to try).

There is a version of motherhood that often gets shown online - a tidy one. The composed one. The one where everything somehow looks balanced, beautiful and under control.

And then there is the version many of us are actually living.

Why I Wanted to Create This Series

These episodes are a little different. They are personal and reflective, and I most certainly did not start recording these episodes because I suddenly had everything figured out.

I started because I felt ready to speak more honestly - not from a place of perfection, but from a place of truth.

I wanted to talk about motherhood in a way that felt real. To talk about identity, pressure, guilt, mental load, horses, work, ambition, and the strange in-between space where so many equestrian mums find themselves.

And in doing that, I realised something quite powerful: speaking honestly does not just help other people feel seen — it helps us feel more like ourselves too.

The First Three Episodes

The first three episodes open the door to this new series and I will release more as I record.

In Episode One, I talk about why I felt ready to start sharing again, and how it has not only helped others, but has most definitely helped me too.

In Episode Two, I speak about Mama's mental health and the invisible weight so many mums carry every day. Protecting our mental health like our kids and horses depend on it!

In Episode Three, I talk about guilt - the double whammy of the guilt from having both children and horses and feeling pulled in different directions. It's layered. It goes deep. And I do believe that what we feel as equestrian mums takes on it own unique stance.

These are not polished, performative conversations.

They are short, real episodes for women who do not need more pressure - they need honesty, understanding, and the reminder that they are not the only one finding this hard sometimes.

A Little Bit About Me

For anyone new here, I’m Sarah Elebert - an equestrian coach, writer, co-founder of Equitas, and mum of three young children.

Much of my work centres around women in the equestrian world - their stories, their experiences, their challenges, and their strength. This particular season of life has simply made me want to speak even more directly to the women living the juggle of horses and motherhood side by side.

Because it is a very specific kind of life.

And it deserves space too.

Looking for More Support?

If you are an equestrian mum and this series speaks to where you are right now, my website is a good place to start if you are looking for more support and resources.

There you’ll find more about my coaching, my work, and the kind of support I offer to women navigating horses, motherhood, identity and the realities of everyday life.

I hope these episodes offer a sense of company in the chaos.

I hope they make you feel seen.

And I hope they remind you that you are allowed to still be you in the middle of motherhood.

Stay Sound,
